Communication and consent records. We maintain information about workshop registrations, communications, text-message consent, and unsubscribe or opt-out requests.
Technical and activity information. Our website hosting, scheduling, registration, and communication providers may process information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, access times, and interactions with their services. Our workshop and communication systems may also record page visits, form submissions, email opens, and link clicks.
Advertising and measurement information. Our workshop landing pages use advertising technologies, such as the Meta Pixel and related tools, that collect information about your visit, including pages viewed, registration activity, browser and device details, and similar identifiers. Workshop participation. When you participate in a recorded workshop, we may collect your display name, voice, image, questions, chat messages, and other contributions.
Strategy session information. When you meet with us for a strategy session, we may record the session and use a note-taking tool to create a transcript, notes, or summary of the discussion.
We do not accept payments through our website. Please do not submit account passwords, Social Security numbers, bank account information, or confidential client records through scheduling forms, workshop registration forms, or workshop chat.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Schedule and conduct strategy sessions, and prepare notes and follow-up from them.
- Respond to inquiries and requests.
- Register participants for workshops and provide access instructions.
- Send workshop reminders and follow-up communications consistent with applicable consent requirements and your choices.

Technology and Service Providers
Our main website is hosted by Vercel. We use Calendly to schedule appointments and Zoom to conduct and record workshops and strategy sessions. We may use note-taking and transcription tools, which may include artificial-intelligence features, to create transcripts, notes, or summaries of strategy sessions and workshops.
We use GoHighLevel, a customer relationship management and marketing platform, to host workshop landing pages, collect registrations, maintain contact information and communication preferences, and send emails and text messages.
We use Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) to advertise our workshops and services.
We also use providers for website hosting and related operational support. These providers may process personal information as needed to perform services on our behalf.
When you interact directly with a provider's own website or services, its privacy notice may also apply. Our use of a service provider does not replace our responsibility to explain how we handle information collected for our business.
The Collective Inc.
We work with The Collective Inc. to establish workshop registration pages, help manage workshop advertising, and help administer registrations and communications through GoHighLevel.
Registration information is available to us and to The Collective Inc. as needed to perform services on our behalf.
We do not authorize The Collective Inc. to add registrants to its own unrelated marketing lists or use their information for its own independent promotional purposes.
Strategy Session Recording and Note-Taking
We may record strategy sessions and use a note-taking tool to create a transcript, notes, or summary of the conversation. We will tell you at the start of the session when recording or note-taking is in use.
If you prefer that a session not be recorded or transcribed, tell us before or at the start of the session and we will turn these features off.
We use these recordings, transcripts, and notes to prepare follow-up, understand your business's needs, and maintain records of our conversations. We do not use them in public promotional materials.
The note-taking provider processes this information on our behalf, subject to its own terms and security practices.
Email Communications
When you register for a workshop, we use your email address to send confirmation, access instructions, reminders, workshop materials, and workshop-related follow-up.
Our workshop-specific email sequence ends within 48 hours after the workshop. After that, we may send occasional emails about future workshops, resources, and our services. Promotional emails are subject to the choices presented during registration and applicable law.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email or by contacting Dan@DanTheCFO.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily prevent messages needed to fulfill a separate request or manage an existing engagement.
Text Messages
We send text messages only in accordance with the consent you provide and applicable law. Depending on your selections, these may include workshop confirmations, access instructions, reminders, and separately authorized promotional follow-up about Dan The CFO's services.
Messages may be sent using automated technology through GoHighLevel and its messaging providers.
Text consent is optional and is not a condition of registering for a free workshop or purchasing services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Our workshop text sequence ends within 48 hours after the workshop unless you separately request or authorize additional messaging.
You can opt out by replying STOP or by otherwise clearly asking us to stop. You may receive one non-promotional confirmation of your opt-out. For help, reply HELP or email Dan@DanTheCFO.com.
We honor opt-out requests as required by applicable law and retain limited records as necessary to document consent and respect communication preferences.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that process it solely to deliver our messages and support our text-messaging program. This information is never shared with advertising platforms.
Workshop Recordings
Our Zoom workshops are recorded. We provide recording notice during registration and through the meeting platform.
Depending on your participation and the recording settings, a recording may include your display name, voice, image, questions, or other contributions. Chat messages may also be retained. We may also create transcripts or summaries of workshops, including through artificial-intelligence features.
We use recordings, transcripts, and summaries for attendee replay and internal review. We will obtain separate permission before using identifiable attendee contributions in public promotional materials.
You can keep your camera off and microphone muted to limit what appears in the recording. Your display name and submitted contributions may still be visible or retained.
Please do not share confidential, proprietary, or sensitive personal information during a group workshop.
Advertising and Tracking Technologies
We advertise our workshops and services on Facebook and Instagram. Our workshop landing pages use the Meta Pixel and may use related tools, such as Meta's Conversions API, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.
These technologies collect information about your visit and actions on our pages, such as pages viewed and whether you registered, along with browser and device details and similar identifiers. This information is shared with Meta, which may combine it with information it holds about you.
We use this information to measure how well our ads perform, to show our ads to people who have visited our pages or registered for a workshop, and to reach people with similar interests. Meta's use of this information is governed by Meta's own privacy policy.
To limit this activity, you can adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings, use your browser's privacy settings to block third-party cookies, or opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info.
Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with Meta or any other advertising platform.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our main website at www.DanTheCFO.com may use analytics, performance, or security tools, including tools provided by our hosting provider, to understand how visitors use the site and keep it running properly.
Our website and third-party services, including embedded scheduling tools, may nevertheless use cookies or similar technologies for functionality, security, scheduling, and other disclosed purposes.
Workshop landing pages and communications managed through GoHighLevel use different features from our main website, including the advertising technologies described above, and may record registration activity, page visits, email opens, and link clicks.
You can manage cookies through your browser and any controls offered by the applicable provider. Blocking some technologies may affect functionality.
Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, our website and workshop pages do not currently respond to them.
When We Share Information
We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not provide attendee lists to other organizations for their own unrelated marketing.
We may share information:
- With service providers assisting with the activities described in this policy.
- With advertising platforms, such as Meta, through the advertising technologies described above.
